“Then the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard this news, and his anger was greatly aroused.” 1 Samuel 11.6
The people of Israel were threatened by the Ammonite to have their right eyes taken out, in order to bring shame on all Israel… The Ammonite would like to make a covenant with Israel… And this is what the devil does always; he brings a situation upon your life (Problem in the Family, sickness, debts, unemployment, spiritual problem) in order for you to deny your faith and your God.
Then the people said to the Ammonite: “Hold off for 7 days… and if there is no one to save us, we will come out to you.”
When the people got the message from their enemy, they lifted up their voices and wept… In another word because the people did not have the SPIRIT OF GOD by then, instead of using their faith to overcome the problem they used their feelings, and emotions… And you have to understand that your emotion or feelings will not solve your problems…
On the other hand when King Saul heard the News of what was going on in the camp of Israel, then the SPIRIT OF GOD came upon King Saul, and his anger was greatly aroused… When the SPIRIT OF GOD comes upon someone’s life He places deep inside of that person the Spirit of Revolt against everything that is injustice, everything that is otherwise the Word of God, and this is what happened with King Saul.
The People without The SPIRIT OF GOD react with emotion when they got the News against them… King Saul with the SPIRIT OF GOD React with REVOLT against the situation.
Someone without the HOLY SPIRIT when they are facing a problem or any difficult in life, they fear it, they get desperate, they become weak, they don’t know what to do to solve the problem, they become confused and etc. then they fail.
But when someone has the HOLY SPIRIT dwelling within them, (HE represent the Power of our Faith), then He the Holy Spirit, will strength that person, will guide their thoughts and will show the way to overcome their Problems, no matter what it may be.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6.33
Be in Faith!
