But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel (Romans 9:6)
There are two kinds of people in the church – the one born of God and the one who is not born of God. If we say we are of Abraham we are supposed to do what he did – to walk by faith. The blessings of God that we seek only come when we take a step of faith towards it. God promised great blessings but for you to take possession of it you have to fight for it.
When the children of Israel were told to go up and take possession of the promised land God had given them, they drew back, they began to doubt because of the negative report that was brought back by those who went to spy out the land (Numbers 13:27-33), only two showed that they were in the faith, because they believed and knew that the God who told them to go up and take possession was with them and would give them the victory. It is no different today in the church, many say that they believe in God, they know that He is able to do the impossible, but by their action they show otherwise. Instead of holding to that believe that no matter what the situation they might be facing, no matter how big the giant might be in front of them, or impossible the situation might seem, they doubt the ability of God to do what He said He will do and because of that they are not able to overcome their problem, they are not able to get the victory they are looking for. This is the reason why there are two kinds of people in the church – the one who recognizes the truth and rights and fights to conquer and the one who just rejoices over the victories of the other.
God acts in your life according to your faith, if you believe, He would lead you to victory but if you doubt you would not overcome, how do we expect to get what we want if we do not show the attitude of faith to receive it? How can you accept to come to the House of God, hear His word but do not see any fruit in your life? Those in the past received the promises of God, were blessed because they used their faith – the same must be in your life once you believe. You must have an experience in the God you serve, when we do not know God we fail in our life – with out lips we say we believe but when the problems comes we falter, we become afraid, we doubt, we draw back, we question whether God can do anything for us or not.
Not everyone inside of the church is in the faith or born of God, not all receive the promises of God – No! God will come to bless you according to your faith before Him. He looks at your attitude of faith and your determination to possess that which you are going after. Because we live by faith, we move, we fight, we overcome because we know that God is with us. Now is the time for His promises to be fulfilled, now is the time for the distinction to be made in your life. Through your faith you can conquer everything you want in life but with doubt you can loose everything. So, are you of the faith of Abraham or of doubting Thomas – only you know?
Be in Faith!
